As I have been homeschooling my children, I have to say one of my favourite things I’ve witnessed is my child learning to spell his name!
Today my 4-year-old son asked me for a pencil and paper and requested that I walk away for a moment. He wanted to surprise me with something. At first, I thought he might be drawing me a family portrait. I love it when he draws anything! But to my surprise, he had written his name without any guides or copying it from somewhere.
To say that I was so proud would be an understatement. He has been working hard to perfect his name practice and it shows! Looking at his paper reminded me of the school work my mother showed me from when I was a child. How special!
