I made these money sheets last year when my kids and I built a food stand out of cardboard boxes. We created our “convenience store” and placed a few foods and beverages behind the counter. It was so much fun!
But when we started to exchange “air” money, I knew I could make it even more fun with some play money. So I got straight to work!
Recently we pulled these out again for my son’s new convenience store. This time he operated his business straight from his and his sister’s bunk bed. But they sold out completely!
These colourful money sheets will surely take imaginative play to the next level. Whether at a food truck, grocery store or if you have a lemonade stand in the backyard, our Lion Bucks will bring the experience to life.
Practicing Math and Life Skills
Not only is play money great for imaginative play, but it’s also great for practicing math and life skills. Lions Bucks can be used for addition and subtraction practice and will also help your child learn how to use actual money for the future.
Teaching financial literacy to kids is such an important part of parenthood. It’s never too early to model what it is to save, tithe, and how to responsibly handle money.
