Martin Luther King Preschool Activities

Living in Canada, I don’t remember celebrating this day at school. But Ontario, where I live does recognize it. So I definitely don’t want to pass up this awesome opportunity to teach my kids about such a great individual! To do this, I created some fun Martin Luther King preschool activities!

Being that my kids are young, I wanted to figure out a way to grasp MLK’s message of equality and unity. So, I took to Pinterest to find the perfect craft. While I did find an awesome activity that I will share with you, I was mostly inspired to just create my own.

These activities are super simple and fun and sure to capture your preschooler’s attention.

MLK HANDPRINT ART CRAFT

I wanted to incorporate art that my kids love with a strong message of peace, unity and equality. This is 1 of 5 handprint craft templates I created for my Martin Luther King preschool activities bundle. This is the page that I would like to give you for FREE!

I made sure to include the colouring page as well so you can either jump straight to the thumb printing or do the craft completely from scratch!

I also created four more handprint (and footprint) templates for MLK day.

You can get this whole bundle on my shop here OR on my Etsy shop here. Whether you just get the FREEBIE or buy the whole bundle, your kids are sure to have a blast learning about Martin Luther King’s message!

We are also super excited to use this freebie from one sharp bunch. This activity uses eggs to illustrate that we may look different on the outside but we are all the same on the inside. I know my kids will love this one.

I hope your kiddos like these activities! Please don’t forget to share your pictures with me @littlelionsacademy_ on Instagram! I love to see your little ones enjoying my activities, crafts and printables! When I do, I feel super encouraged to keep sharing these with you!
